What is Google Ads?

It’s the system Google has created to help all types of businesses – big and small – reach their target customers. You’ve probably seen Google Ads. They are normally, but not always, at the top of a page when you perform a search and are marked with ‘Ad’.

You decide on keywords or phrases related to your services and create an advert using these, then when someone searches for those words, they see your advert. You pay for your advert if they click on it and visit your website.

It’s a great way to get your brand ‘out there’, and can work quicker than SEO. And, because you can target your adverts to specific people, it’s especially good if you offer, and describe well, niche services.

Ready to give Google Ads a go for your Health & Wellness practice? Evexus can help.

Everyone has different requirements and different budgets when it comes to advertising, so we don’t have a set package here. Everything we do is bespoke and unique to you. Which is why an in-depth briefing process is a vital requirement for a successful Google Ads campaign.

During the briefing process, we’ll discuss:

  • Whether you’ve tried Google Ads before. If yes, what worked well and what would you like to improve.
  • Which service(s) you’d like to create adverts for – so we can do keyword research
  • Your landing pages – Google must see these as useful, so we need to make sure that they are easy to read, relevant and encourage contact.
  • Explain how these ads are paid for – you will need to allocate a set, affordable budget each month

Once we have this information, we will create a Google Ad plan for the next six months. In this we’ll suggest keywords and phrases, create a timetable for new blog posts, landing pages and adverts and advise how to track conversions. This is particularly important as we’ll want to see which advert(s) are working best, so you spend your budget in the best area.

If you’re happy with our plan, we’ll get on and write and upload the adverts! We’ll monitor how these go and in and once three months have elapsed, you’ll get a report a progress report and recommendations for the next three months. Do remember though, although you may see results from Ads more quickly than from SEO, you still need to give them at least six months to see real benefits.

A word of caution on Google Ads…

It’s estimated that there are 5.6 billion Google searches a day, and the average person conducts between 3 and 4 searches per day (Hubspot).

Google is used so much because it is trusted, and it’s trusted because it only shows the most relevant results. Google chooses which ads it displays, so not only do your ads need to be good, but you also need to already have a good website, SEO and a targeted landing page. For this reason, we will only create Google Ads for clients we are already working with on SEO.
